Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
My client is looking for a logo for her tattoo studio. The studio is called Inkantations. She is a lover of all things vintage and is potentially looking for something that includes maybe deer antlers and a vintage lamp (she specifically mentioned these), old clocks, teapots, etc.
Maybe one of the t's in the word could be a vintage tattoo gun? Maybe the logo is done as just an "i" but again designed as a tattoo gun with the vintage stuff incorporated somehow?
I am looking for a few options to choose from, so please do not apply for the job if you cannot provide several ideas. Also I will need unlimited revisions as previous experience has proved that we're not always going to get it right first time around.
I have attached a couple of shots of the studio for inspiration. Also here's a write up on the studio and the owner herself - she is a figurehead in the tattoo world:
STUDIO:
"Set inside one of the oldest coaching inns in the country – now Sponne House Shopping Centre – Inkantations Tattoo & Piercing Studio was set up by Miss Terri in 2011.
Staying true to the building’s original features, the Inkantations studio has kept the former coach inn’s quirky layout, beautiful original beams and exposed brick feature wall. Miss Terri’s love of antiques and all things vintage plays a big part in the overall décor of the studio. Tastefully mixing her collection of Georgian furniture and old artefacts, it has become an inspiring cavern of charm and curiosities that re-awakens both history and art."
MISS TERRI:
"Coming from a family full of musicians and magicians it’s no surprise that Miss Terri became an artist. Her flare for creative drawing started at a young age and ever since then she has been enchanted with art. Specialising in photo realism, which includes black and white portraiture, she is a much sought after tattoo artist whose absolute favourite work is botanical style full colour floral tattoos.
With four tattoos herself – including her pride and joy, a side piece that was done in Berlin and took 25 hours to complete – she doesn’t think she looks like a stereotypical tattoo artist due to her lack of tattoos. “At this moment in life I am very happy with the work I’ve had done,” she says. “I don’t have plans for more yet but I would love to be tattooed by the incredible Phil Garcia in America.”
Miss Terri’s mantra is: “Your tattoo is my passion,” therefore art is her passion. She spends a lot of her down time painting, drawing and doing any crafts. She even owns her own art event company. She also loves walking her two “fur babies”, English Bull Terriers Willsee and Maybee, and with a baby on the way becoming a parent will take up a lot of her time."
Regards,
Will
