Description
Experience Level: Expert
We need a logo and product packaging designed for Highland Teas. Our tea is grown in the Highlands of Kenya and we would like for the logo and packaging to depict Kenya. There are other brands of teas in Kenya but none of them stand out as "THE" Kenyan Tea. When you think Coffee, you think Columbia/Ethiopia, we want people to think Kenya as it's where a majority of the world's highest quality teas are grown, primarily by the Kalenjin and Kikuyu people. Please note: Though images of the Maasai tribe are often used to depict Kenya, they are a mostly know for cattle raring and not tea farming.
Kenyan tea is grown in the rich volcanic soils of the Highland region and does not require the use of harsh fertilizer. The climate of the highland region hinders the growth of many common tea pests, eliminating the need for the use of pesticides. Our tea is ethically grown, pesticide free and is certified by the Rainforest Alliance. Women are primarily the ones harvesting the tea leaves and it is done by hand. The mechanical/automated harvesting of tea leaves in Kenya is often frowned upon by communities who depend on this industry for work. We hope these details help in inspiring/informing your decision about our brand design. We are open to the use of Kenya symbols, animal, and colors.
The initial package to be designed would be for "loose tea". We will need 2 sizes, 250g and 500g packages. Later we will need packaging designed for boxes of tea bags. Please see uploaded images for examples of designs we find attractive and dimension of the 500g loose leaf packaging. Initial sketches or mockups will definitely get our attention.
