Help me pick a colour scheme for my logo

I'm looking for a designer with knowledge of colour theory and experience in creating logo's for successful brands.

I have already had a logo designed that I'm happy with, which consists of the text of the brand name, plus a brand 'icon'.

I'm struggling to finalise the logo by selecting the right colours to use so would like some help choosing colours for the logo, and also other website elements (unspecific elements, but some suggestions of colours that can be used in the design of the website/printed materials, that will go well with the colours chosen for the logo.

I don't envisage the need for any actual design changes to the logo other than the colour (except perhaps helping me to decide whether the icon or text should use a stroke/outline or not and if so what colour that should be.

I will provide an illustrator version of the logo for experimentation. Ideally you'll be able to present a few options, but as per the description above I'd like help in deciding what's right for the brand.

A little about the brand (more to be disclosed to successful freelancer);

The logo is for a new brand specialising in branded horticultural/hydroponics equipment.
