ShoeStix is a shoe accessory which stops shoe slipping by sticking the shoe to the foot and the foot to the shoe. It is a flexible silicone insert which is sticky on both sides. See images attached.
COMPETITORS (e.g. heel grips, insoles, Dr Scholl products)
- None of the competitor products work in the same way as ShoeStix. They typically attempt to reduce space inside the shoe in order to pack in the foot but most often, do not work.
- Competitor brands mostly feel more like healthcare/footcare products, we are positioning ShoeStix as more of a fashion accessory.

THE SHOESTIX BRAND
ShoeStix is to be positioned as a fashion accessory. While it will likely live in the footcare aisle with competitors, it should equally be able to fit in a cosmetic/fashion accessory aisle. For example, it should feel at home both in a chemist and in Accessorize/Monsoon.
Our brand personality (which is rooted in the emotional benefits ShoeStix users can expect) is: JOYFUL (liberated), ELEGANT (attractive, modern) and SMART (clean, simple, clever).
Our target is women aged 18-55. They care about their appearance and have an interest in fashion, accessories and shoes, but also value comfort.
I have attached some examples of brands/styles that we like, but we are completely open to your interpretation of the brand we have described.
The new ShoeStix packaging is a thin plastic case (approximately 120x120x10mm) which case also be used by customers to store their ShoeStix. A card sleeve will be wrapped around the case - this is what we need to be designed. See attached. The shape of the card sleeve does not have to be square/rectangular, it can be cut based on the design.
The case can be opened from right to left, like a book or from bottom to top, like a pocket mirror.
On the front of the packaging, we must have:
2 Lines of Copy: (1) PLACEHOLDER: Stops shoes slipping at the heel. (2) PLACEHOLDER: Sticks your shoes to your feet.
A graphic of some description which visually shows how ShoeStix actually works. One of the challenges of this brief is to achieve this but maintain simplicity and elegance.
