Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Information for the business: New distillery making a new gin
Industry: Food and Beverage
Target audience: Craft gin drinkers
Messages to communicate through the design: Twickenham is in the heart of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames which itself is in Surrey (think stockbroker belt and gin & tonic drinkers). Also Surrey has more rugby clubs in England than any other county. Twickenham is the base for English rugby.
Although this is just a bottle label, I would expect the colours, graphics, look and feel will lend themselves to be the basis for the website design as well as the Twickenham Gin brand and following marketing materials.
Details about the product: A no nonsense juniper forward gin
Ideas for the visual style: a man's drink using the rugby theme but also female friendly as gin is also very much a females drink
Urls to draw inspiration from: https://www.ltmuseumshop.co.uk/posters/sport/rugby-at-twickenham-poster
Extra notes: I do like the image of the attached url, not sure if something similar could be incorporated without infringing any copy-write. It is important to me to allow the gin to be linked to rugby in some way as that is what Twickenham is all about. I have uploaded my efforts so far so you can see the words needed even if the graphic itself is not good enough. The 2 boxes illustrated represent a front and back label for the bottle. The final result needs to be editable in svg format as the alc and clE amounts may change. The Batch# and Bottle# fields initially will be hand written on the actual bottle so white space will be needed next to the words. The red heart graphic and the green pitch graphic were my way of illustrating Love Rugby just to give an idea of what I have been thinking. I am setting up on a shoe string initially hence this is the only requirement. However once bottles are being sold I can then further invest in the website and complementary materials. If 2 rugby players are to part of the graphic design I would prefer they were in red and white (as England v Wales is the biggest match).
