Structural engineer needed for truss design (Larsen type truss)

We are seeking a skilled structural engineer to design a Larsen type truss system for our home renovation project. Our goal is to add exterior insulation to improve the energy efficiency of our older home. The structural engineer will need to evaluate the existing wall structure and design a retrofitted Larsen truss assembly that can add the required support for the added insulation and siding materials.

The structural engineer should have expertise in analyzing residential wood-frame structures and designing truss systems according to applicable Canadian building codes. The truss design will require calculating member sizes and connections to safely distribute vertical and lateral loads from the wall above to the foundation. Drafting detailed shop drawings of the truss assembly, including all component sizes and specifications is required.

The structural engineer should propose optimized truss layout options for our review and be available to answer questions during the implementation phase.
