Interior Design Advice (at a property in Hitchin SG4)

Design details: We are looking for interior designer who can come to our house in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, to suggest ways to update our décor and make better use of our space. Our house is a pleasant, 4-bedroom, 1930's semi detached property, and is already in pretty good condition. We would just like some external advice and inspiration to make it even nicer! We do not have massive budgets and we’re not looking for anything particularly crazy, but having sat in it for the last 7 years we need someone with some fresh ideas to inspire us.

We're thinking we would need someone for 2-3 hours probably, and we could do this in the week as we work from home, or at a weekend. We would be happy to pay someone on an hourly basis and would cover their mileage or train travel expenses to Hitchin. Ideas for the visual style: Hmmm, not sure what to write here! Our home is currently furnished between IKEA and Laura Ashley and it's a busy, happy family home. Don't want Magnolia!
