Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
We need an interior design in 3D visualisation to help us renovate our new house purchase, there are no technical designs required but the design needs to be fairly accurate with specifications of colours/other essentials so we can easily use the visualisations when actually doing the physical work with our contractors.
We are not just looking for a individual who has technical skills with a 3D CAD software but true interior design skills & experience with a good grasp of Feng Shui space planning (this is essential) and design styles like Urban-Modern/Minimalism/Traditional British/Islamic inspired patterns-textures.
The selected designer should have fluent English good portfolio and experience where he/she can demonstrate their skills.
We will provide a simple top-down floor plan, measurements and pictures of the outside and inside of the current house (only interior visualisations are required for this project though), some notes for each area and we would look to do a phone conversation or 2 before starting and during the process.
=======
Requirements:
1) Use our floor plan, room measurements and our design style requirements to research and brainstorm, using your creative skills to make the most of the space in each room and include some "cool" clever suggestions for re-modelling areas of the house e.g. creating snug/relax space corners/areas, adding any elevation, partitions, interesting fixtures, using a combined storage space with sitting/relax space above it etc.
2) Create a quick mood-board and concept to help us narrow down close to the final style/layout.
3) Create 3D CAD designs of each room and would require multiple angles for good 360 view where needed. There are 14-15 rooms in total (however there are only 2 real large open space [living room 6.4m by 6m and games room 7.7m by 6.7m], the rest are mostly small rooms like bathrooms, small bedrooms, cloakroom etc, see the floor plan provided). They must include the furniture, colours, flooring, walls, lighting, additional fittings & fixtures suggestions such as elevations, textures, mirrors, use of light etc).
4) Combine the room designs to complete a 3D floor render of the whole interior of the house
5) During the above process suggest and demonstrate different style and colour options or even create 1-2 additional variations of the 3D designs based on our design styles below - these variations will not be dramatic in overall layout but for example use different colour palette, furniture selections, texture finishes, flooring etc
6) Complete the project fairly quickly 8-10 days from winning the bid.
=======
Design styles (the interior designer should have knowledge of these)
1) A Feng-Shui considered design is the most important point for the overall space layout, individual room moods and colours.
2) Urban-Modern is our key design style but with other accent styles, some of the following accent styles would be included (not all) - British Traditional/Classic, Minimal, Scandi, Islamic inspired textures and patterns.
3) Keywords for the moods:
Calm/Stress relieving, practical & feel good.
=======
Other important considerations:
Designed as child friendly as possible (for under 4s). There will be 1 baby, and toddlers under 3 in the house, so certain furniture, colours, saftey placement needs to be considered.
The overall budget for the actual physical decorating and furniture would will be in the average+ range, maybe some select areas at the higher range (so middle-upper class Western Europe family).
I have attached the floor plan with the rooms required in green, a feng shui note and some 3d visuals of the quality levels of the design we would like to aim for.
Thanks
Kaz
