Interior Design Brief – Farmhouse Project



We are seeking an experienced interior designer to oversee and guide the interior design of our under-construction farmhouse. The scope of work includes:

Material & Finish Selections





Flooring: Indoor and outdoor floor materials (tiles, terrazzo, wood, etc.)
Bathroom Finishes: Tiles, countertops, fittings, and accessories
Staircase & Outdoor Rakes: Steps, railing, and surface finishes
Wall Treatments: Paints, textures, panels, and decorative finishes
Ceilings: False ceiling design and material selection

Lighting & Electrical Layout





Ambient, task, and accent lighting planning
Selection of light fixtures (indoor & outdoor)
Electrical outlet and smart switch layout
AV, internet, and smart home readiness






3.

Kitchen Design





Complete kitchen layout
Cabinet design and material finishes
Appliance placement and selection (built-in options preferred)
Lighting and ventilation planning






4.

Furniture Layout & Selection





Dining Area: Layout and selection of furniture for 18 guests
Living Area & Reception: Furniture plan for seating, coffee tables, and shelving
Four Double Bedrooms: Bed designs, side tables, wardrobes, study or seating areas
Storage Solutions: Built-in wardrobes, utility storage, linen closet, pantry

Bathroom Interior Design





Vanity units
Shower partitions or enclosures
Accessories, mirrors, lighting






6.

Curtains, Blinds & Soft Furnishings





Window dressing selection for all rooms
Upholstery coordination with color palette
Rugs and fabric-based accessories

Entrance & Circulation Areas





Foyer design
Hallways and connecting corridors styling
Feature walls or art displays






8.

Outdoor Spaces





Outdoor furniture layout and selection
Integration with garden or terrace areas
Poolside furniture and shading solutions (if applicable)

Color Scheme & Mood Boards





Visual themes per zone
Harmonized color palette for interiors and exteriors

Final Styling





Artwork, decorative accessories, plants
Mirror and decor placement
