HELLO
I write to consult to understand what options we have to convert a lower ground floor space currently classed under A1 to residential.
As I mentioned, the previous planning was refused on various grounds for reasons for which I believe can be addressed with a bit more detailed work regarding the lighting & adequate engagement with the council.
The address is 63 High street SE25 6EF.

I’ll be happy to hear your thoughts
Kind regards
Ola

Hi Ola,
After reviewing the public access page, I'd advise that your architects incorporate basement lighting shafts into the design if possible. A company such as this: https://www.limitless.uk.com/products/basement-light-shaft/ for example.
Daylight calculations of the internal space should then be issued to the council. If they can achieve anything over 1000 lux from the shafts, it should be acceptable.
Hope this is of some use.OLA A.05 Jun 2018Jonathan,
Many thanks for this suggestion. It is probably the most useful I have received thus far. Do you have contacts at limitless or an architect that has worked with basement shafts before?
