Hi,
I am a Psychologist, just starting out in private practice. I'm looking for someone to help design my therapy office. It's based in Altrincham in Greater Manchester.
I am open to hearing proposals from either student designers looking for experience or entry level/newly qualified designers, as well as more experienced designers.
This is an exciting project. If your work is good I will gladly promote your name in my professional circle as I am well linked with the entire UK psychology professional group. I can put your name out in my network, so you're likely to generate lots of referrals.
I have some ideas for the design myself but really want someone who I can bounce off those ideas with. I want someone who can help me bring the concept to life.
People who come to see me, will be sharing deeply personal and difficult life stories. The therapy space needs to be one which is warm, airy, inviting and comfortable. I don't mind some colour in the room as I think this is important. I've seen lots of therapy rooms with greys and Beiges and whilst the rooms are perfectly comfortable, I do want my therapy office to have an injection of colour to lift the room.
The designer I choose ideally needs to be able to meet with me and see the office. And I think then we can come up with the ideas. However, if there is a virtual way of working on this, I.e. if you can work with photos and videos of the room? And if we can Skype?
But ideally if I can find an interior designer somewhere either in Greater Manchester or Lancashire, that would be great! It would make life easier.
