Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Information for the business: New product already in design
Design details: I am looking for an illustrator/logo designer to undertake two related tasks:-
1) Please super-impose three attached characters onto the relevant British pound note, to replace our Queen's head - purple girl on the £20, brown boy on the £10, blue girl on the £5. The blue boy and the red boy in my attachment are not needed at the moment for this illustration. Please retain these three notes separately to this project as in the future I may ask for these illustrated pretend characterised notes to be printed, but that will come at a later date.
2) Please add a logo to the bottom of the £5, which is smaller than our £20, in the same colours of Purple, Blue, Brown, Bright Red, Pink and the logo should read 'Swap Box'. I should like the logo to be striped in these colours and I also want the logo to be interesting, elegant and appealing to children.
The whole three amended British notes with the logo at the bottom of the £5 should all fit in one perfect rectangular shape which is the correct width and depth of the notes and I can give you the correct measurements of our pound notes as soon as we agree the work. The attachment showing the British notes is for information only as there is a massive 'specimen' written across the front, which I do not want on my illustration!
Later, the work is to be photoprinted onto a savings box for children, which is also being designed by 'peopleperhour'. The finished box will be made in a glossy white plastic composite (similar to the iPhone material) and your finished illustration should be available to be reproduced onto the box in one whole illustration (not separate for each note and another for the logo!). Please therefore offer one single illustration of the whole design which I can then send to the designers in one piece to add on to the savings box which they are designing.
I hope you find this project of interest and I am sure there will be many questions so please do not hesitate to get in touch. If the project is a success I shall be looking for printing, stickers, pretend British notes (hence the retaining of the separate illustrations), as well as a number of other designs along the theme. I look forward to hearing from you, regards, Teresa
Target audience: to be promoted amongst British retailers and wholesalers but the finished product is aimed at children aged 4yrs-10yrs.
Ideas for the visual style: Colours should be as close to our British currency as possible with a couple of others thrown in (Arsenal Red, Pink maybe black etc). this is so that the whole top of my box has a co-ordinated colour look. The logo will pick up on all the colours in use and be exciting and of interest to children, but also elegant and classy!
Things to avoid: Please make sure that the dimensions of the three British notes are accurate - I can get these measurements for you. The box will be slightly larger that this, so as to ensure a comfortable fit for the contents.
Preferred colors: Purple, Chelsea Blue, Brown, Arsenal Red, Strong Pink, ( plus Black and white if necessary)
Where the design will be used: The design will be used on a Savings Box for children
