Introduction
• We are looking for a freelance design-savvy, technically proficient, and enthusiastic digital designer with a proven and developed interest in delivering creative and intelligent design solutions across web and mobile platforms.
• A good working knowledge of CSS & HTML5 is required. All HTML must be valid, well-formed XHTML1 transitional and deprecated elements and attributes should be avoided. CSS must be valid for IE6, IE7, IE8 and current versions of Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Opera for PC and Mac.
Background
• We are looking to create a Brand System, including content, pages and layout, for our new travel module across web and mobile platforms. The successful candidate will create up to three concepts/designs to demonstrate their breadth of knowledge and experience.
• We have created a travel product that is to be sold online.
• This product will have no association with HealthCare International.
Objective
• To create one brand identity system and website for the travel product.
• The identity is to live online and in print ie website, letterhead and business cards.
• To create a 'white label' site that can be re-skinned with different brands, targeting different market sectors.
• Once completed, additional brand systems will need to be created.
• It will link with the back-end quote engine.
Content
• The site must be accessible to all potential users, therefore imagery, sounds, graphics and animation must not inhibit the ultimate purpose which is to sell travel insurance.
• As this product is being sold all over the world, it must allow for different levels of internet connectivity.
• The journey from quote to purchase must be very simple, very clear and lead the customer on a journey - we don't want the customer trying to work out what to do next.
• They must know where they are on the site and how to navigate backwards and forwards.
• There will be little or no content updates once the site is up and running.
• The site must be low maintenance.
Deadline
• We would like to go live with the site by Nov 30th 2010.
Example sites
• Insure and Go is the best example of a simple site to purchase travel from, with a clear step by step process.
