Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Thank you so much for taking my inquiry.
I am designing an interactive map that requires watercolor illustration to go along with an Italian fairytale. The aesthetic would be soft lines with muted watercolor; old-world feel.
It would be amazing to have each scene around the board blend into each other; while having isolated perspectives. As the fairytale is told, you will journey through each part on the map.
There are 8 scenes in total:
1. Italian farmhouse w/ farmer and vegetable garden
2. Bakery nestled in a wheat field
3. Cave inside a mountain, inside glowing snails
4. Woodsman cottage, has sheep nestled in a forest
5. Edge of a pond with fish; one large golden fish as the main one peaking at the surface
6. Lake with pebble shore (for duck)
7. Bountiful field with fruit bushes, honey bees, and flowers
8. Sunflowers winding up and around a tower (the tower will be a 3-D figurine, just need the sunflowers)
Each scene will have a miniature model as a 3-D element; they will be adhered to this watercolor scene.
I sure this sounds absolutely crazy to read and that is why I am so happy to speak about this on the phone or skype or whichever way is convenient for you.
I have also attached some reference images.
The large black dots would be where a placeholder would be as the story moves from scene to scene.
Thank you kindly and looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Dana,
Very interesting project..and quite extensive! What is your budget as these will be detailed, 100% hand painted images which require a lot of work? Can you show examples of the style of painting you want?
Thank you,
Lauren (US)
