THE PROJECT:
At the world's largest Data Center Conference next week (on Wednesday) CEO of Schneider Electric (a data center supplier) will present a new open project that aims to reduce energy consumption from over-sized data centers with as much as 10 billion dollars a year. All of the Data Center industry will be present.
We need some good looking slideshows for their two presentations on this project, which is called "Data Center Genome". We need a skilled designer to design these two slideshows.
DEADLINES:
We need to see the first version of the slideshows Tuesday 11PM (13. Nov.) - in order to apply adjustments (if needed).
The final deadline is the following Wednesday 8AM. The presentations will be held a couple of hours later.
PROJECT PROCESS:
The design process can first begin when the final slides are ready. The final slides will be ready midday on Monday (12. Nov.).
Thoughts on the design style and concept development can, however, start before the final slides are ready. We have a draft version of the (un-designed) slides that can provide an idea of how the content will look in their final versions. The draft versions can be downloaded at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/adac0auc5u4kgwv/Ln2wygysx5
THE AUDIENCE:
The audience at the presentations wil be Data Center professionals and tech people of all ages.
These are only inspirational sources. You, the designer, are of course allowed to mix in your own style and feel.
DESIGN MANUAL:
The design needs to adhere to the design guidelines from us. This means that the fonts, basic colors, and logo should be used.
However, our visual identity is rather dull, so we need to spice it up. We cannot change the design guidelines, so to spice it up we suggest using a fair amount of illustrations.
INSPIRATION:
The illustrations should follow the design style of this video: http://wemind.dk/schneidervideo/
Also the "flat" design, straight forward style and use of colors on http://teamtreehouse.com is a good reference point for we need the illustrations in the slideshow to look.
TYPEFACE REQUIREMENT:
It is important that the Arial fontface is used.
FORMAT REQUIREMENTS:
We need the designed slideshow in a Microsoft Powerpoint format (.pptx), and we should be able to edit the text, move illustrations around etc. The illustrations themselves, however, can be design in any application you, the designer, are comfortable with.
OBJECTIVE:
In short we need two good looking slideshows. They do not need to be extravagant in style - just look nice, clean and professional - with some good illustrations to spice the whole thing up a bit.
