Hi
I have a website that keeps its content alive by means of a blog (an article or story added to the website at regular intervals to keep the content updated so that search engines add the blog to our content every time they pass and enhance its presence on the web).
My Father-in-law, Joe Sharp, is our main blogger.
Joe already has two books published (one personal and the other historic), is a very inventive, ingenious, comedic and spurious writer of short stories and poems. He creates both factual and humorous stories, poems and articles and is the most creative person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
He has developed many styles of writing including serious historical prose, short stories, articles and most importantly - poetry.
His blogs on Motorhome City now require illustrations to complement his writing, either individual artistic composures of his descriptions of places, or of a cartoon/comic illustration of his main characters "Francie and Josie".
We do not have a lot of money to spend on this venture, but would appreciate bids from artists who can complement Joe's stories and character's/caricatures/creations to enhance the blogs and stories.
From the stats available on our website, our "blog" audience is about 350 readers per week at present and is rising every month.
We would welcome bids from artists who can complement Joe's work.
You can find examples of Joe's work (and unique humour) at
http://www.motorhome-city.co.uk/motorhome-blog-article-276.htm and other blogs
Joe is already considering turning some of his blogs into book form (we're even discussing percentages for film rights ;-) and the right person will be included - subject to Joe's thoughts on this matter (to be discussed with Joe).
I am the website owner, and hope to contract the right person (at the right price) to enhance and compliment Joe's work, so I will be the initial financial contributor at this stage for website work.
I have discussed with Joe this development of his work , and he is considering all aspects surrounding his work and its future.
I would like to seek the right illustrator or cartoonist (I believe that his work and humour tend towards a cartoon style, although all illustrators will be fully considered), to complement his ongoing work on our website.
All bids for this project will be answered and updated with progressions.
There is a chance that something "Magical" will come from this fusion of Creative Writer and Illustrator/Cartoonist.
I have created this project without Joe's full knowledge, and hope to find a suitable partner for his talents.
He could not have written this project in this style, and I hope that I can merge (or introduce) two creative people to create something special to both.
I hope that we can sort out financial matters by means of price per illustration/cartoon basis. I have no idea of the amount of material required at this time, but hope that we can reach an agreement within PPH rules.
I look forward to receiving your bids and contrinbutions.
Charlie
