Description
Experience Level: Expert
Information for the business: A University Students' Union Sport Deaprtment
Industry: Education
Design details: We are looking for a brand to be developed to include the creation of a new logo as well as artwork we can use to turn into facebook covers, posters, plasma screen adverts and flyers. We would want a full logo suite of the logo individually include EPS, JPEG etc and then a promotional poster designed with access to original elements ideally as PSD files so we can edit them for different purposes.
The aim of the artwork is to get students who are not typically sporty into trying out new sports and keeping healthy.
The title of the organisation that needs the brand / logo is called 3:Thirty Club
3:Thirty will be offering students something different, an opportunity to get involved in informal and social activities that are firmly based on having fun. Directed at students that are currently not participating in sport, 3:Thirty Activation are providing non-competitive activities to encourage students to improve their health and lifestyle.
When we have posters / flyers etc there are other supporting logos that will need to go on any artwork promoting the scheme which include: Team Bath Logo, SU Sport Logo, University of Bath Logo and National Lottery funded logo. These will be sent over.
Target audience: Students who are not typically into Sport
Ideas for the visual style: Bright and colourful
Things to avoid: Any reference to time/ clocks - 3:Thirty is not linked with the time of events, its linked to 3 x 30 minutes of exercise a week. Also be careful with images of people can use illustration of figures but not real photos as will have to be careful with diversity. Try not to make it too sporty so instantly puts not sporty people off.
Preferred colors: Sticking with University Colours - Blue and Gold /yellow
Where the design will be used: For print and for online.
Extra notes: The design I am looking for will need to be:
- Appealing to the eye to draw the attraction from those who do not normally participate in sport
- Highlights the fun, social and healthy aspect of being involved. i.e making new friends, opportunity to try something new, live a longer life...
- Emphasise that this is an opportunity for those who do not play competitive sport and want to build their own confidence, self-esteem and become active.
- Shows this is entry level sport/ activities, not competitive sport and do not use the word sport but activities.
- Targeted audience of Female student, International students and postgraduate students.
- Shows that the 3:Thirty club offer an opportunity to try sport away from the normal sports centres/ halls.
Have uploaded an example of another designers artwork that they didn't like to show you what they don't want.
