Japanese-Style Illustration Designer for Clothing Brand

Project Description:
I’m launching a gym clothing brand and I’m looking for a talented illustrator who specialises in Japanese-style artwork to create bold, striking designs for apparel.

The designs should appeal to gym enthusiasts and tattoo lovers, combining strength, discipline, and warrior-style aesthetics with traditional Japanese influences.

Style Direction:

Japanese tattoo / irezumi inspired artwork

Samurai, oni masks, dragons, tigers, koi fish, warriors, mythology

Bold, powerful and masculine visual style

Clean line work suitable for screen printing and embroidery

Designs that work well on gym wear (t-shirts, hoodies, stringers)

What I need:

3–5 original illustration concepts (to start)

Print-ready artwork

Commercial rights included

Ideal Designer:

Experience with Japanese or tattoo-inspired illustration

Strong portfolio of bold graphic artwork

Understanding of apparel print requirements

Able to adapt designs for clothing placement

Bonus (not required):

Experience designing for fitness or streetwear brands

Ability to create a consistent collection style
