Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
We need a seamless vertical tree illustration as the background for a luxury jewellery e-commerce homepage, creatively displaying 4 collections. The artwork displays as horizontal sections stacked vertically so as the user scrolls they travel from canopy to roots. Jewellery products and descriptions are overlaid digitally in post-production. The illustration must contain no jewellery, no text, no overlays.
**Technical Specification**
Section dimensions: 2880x1600px (16:9, 2x retina), displays at 1440x800px
Spacer dimensions: 2880x240px, displays at 1440x120px
Total: 7 sections + 5 spacers
Format: layered in either PSD/AI/Figma per asset plus flattened PNG export
Colour profile: sRGB
Delivery: WeTransfer or Google Drive
All sections and spacers must work as one continuous composition. Each section should include approximately 150px overlap top and bottom for seamless stitching. Spacers draw on botanical detail from adjacent sections.
**Sections: Top to Bottom**
Crown (Introductory Strip)
A reduced-height introductory strip showing the very top of the tree - uppermost bare branches and sparse leaf clusters against a bright open sky. This is not a full collection section and does not require jewellery placement space, its purpose is to establish the top of the tree before the first collection section begins.
Section 1 - Canopy with Birds (Collection 1): Wide, clean horizontal bare branches with generous open space above and below. Each branch is a natural display shelf for jewellery. Several tropical birds perched naturally. Sparse leaf clusters. Bright sky behind.
Spacer A: Canopy to mid canopy. Leaf clusters increasing in density.
Section 2 - Mid Canopy / Leaf Zone (Collection 2): Individual leaf clusters, clearly defined. Clean horizontal branch structure visible between them with jewellery placement space above each branch.
Spacer B: Mid canopy to lower branches. Foliage giving way to larger branches. First hint of flowers at the base.
Section 3 - Flower Zone (Collection 3): Lower branches with generous flower clusters, lush but not overgrown. Branches above flowers remain clean and horizontal for jewellery placement. Warmest, most romantic light in the composition.
Spacer C: Flower zone to bee section. Flowers continuing, first bees appearing.
Section 4 - Bee Section (Collection 4): Flowers still present but focus shifts to golden honeybees, sharp detail, wings spread, clearly visible and well lit. Clean branches at upper frame for jewellery placement.
Spacer D: Bees receding, bark texture becoming dominant.
Section 5 - Trunk (Brand Philosophy): Ancient oak bark, close-up and textural. Moss on lower portion. No flowers or animals. Darker areas and shadows must be open enough for text overlay in post-production.
Spacer E: Bark giving way to first root forms, dark earth appearing.
Section 6 - Roots (Sustainability): Wide sculptural exposed roots in dark rich earth. Cinematic and considered, the emotional anchor of the composition. No animals or flowers. Earth should be dark and open enough for text overlay.
**Visual Style**
Reference images supplied on commissioning, created using RunwayML. The challenge has been stitching sections into a seamless composition, hence this brief. You may use AI tools including our RunwayML licence as required.
**Critical: Jewellery Overlay**
The most important requirement. Each section will have 3 jewellery products overlaid on branches in post-production. Branches must be wide, clean, and horizontal with clear open space above each surface. Background around branches must be soft and uncluttered and seamless throughout.
**Modular Design**
New collections may be added in future requiring additional sections. All files must be delivered in layered either PSD/AI/Figma format with clearly named layers so future sections can be commissioned and integrated seamlessly.
**Mobile Version**
A separate mobile portrait version will be required after desktop approval. Not a crop but a different composition. Full brief to follow at that stage.
**Timeline**
Looking to commission immediately. Mobile to follow.
This is a confidential project. An NDA will be required prior to commissioning, and the completed work may not be referenced, shared, or included in your portfolio.
