Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Information for the business: Animal welfare charity needing help in creating eye catching infographs and posters to help raise awareness for our campaigns
Design details: Did you knew that a disreputable puppy farm breeder can earn up to £274,400 / year from selling puppies while keeping their parents in squalid conditions. Puppies are then separated from their mothers before their tiny immune systems have developed, leaving them susceptible to infection and disease. They are sent over long distances, often changing hands several times and sadly, many pups die within weeks of being sold.
The breeding dogs: These are the silent victims of greed that the public never see. They are used as breeding machines until their bodies can’t take any more at which point they are usually shot, drowned or strangled. Some are relinquished to rescues. For the dogs who survive puppy farming it‘s a long, slow road to recovery and for many it will be the first time they've experienced grass and sunshine.
More information about puppy farming here http://naturewatch.org/campaign/puppy-farming.
We need help in explaining to the public how much money are involved in this horrid industry and create a powerful poster or infograph that will be both inspiring and educational.
Target audience: Social media users
Ideas for the visual style: www.naturewatch.org
Preferred colors: our logo/website colours
Urls to draw inspiration from: http://naturewatch.org/campaign/puppy-farming
Where the design will be used: social media, web, print
Extra notes: Relevant text and statistics will be provided for the infograph
