Humorous children's book illustration/cartoon

So, let me tell you about this project:
First of all, it's a gift for my partner. He used to have a dog, a Staffordshire Bullterrier who tend to have a bit of a bad rep, just like pitbulls do except, of course, this dog was just as awesome as all other dogs. Since we are dog people and often talk about our animals, we came up with this funny storyline about this Staffy and his encounter with a rabbit.

Goal: 4-6 illustrations, depending on hourly rate
Size: 8x10 (easily for framing)
Time frame: Complete and delivered by Feb 25.
This is a story that is set in an English town and I have several "settings" in mind to illustrate the story of Bob, the dog, his owner and the illusive rabbit who ends up becoming best friends with the dog.
