Graphic Design & Illustration

I am a writer who works primarily in poetry. When trying to expand my skills I began to practise an exercise called ‘Found Poetry’ in which you take a piece of literature (anything, letters, pages from other books, even product packaging) and black out words in order to form new sentences and new meaning. I started a project in which friends of mine were asked to donate pieces of writing they have received throughout their lives which had meaning that they wished to change for themselves. Some of them donated things such as break up letters, academic probation announcements, eviction letters etc.

I’m looking to take the products of this project and transfer them to t-shirts and hoodies. With the back of the garment displaying the original letter, and the front displaying the changed version. I am looking for a graphic designer to help me translate this idea to a viable image. Perhaps remaking this poetry digitally for me, as currently the work is only on paper and with marker.

I would like to protect the identity of the person who donated the letter or item, so I’d like to have a graphic designer remake the letter, or rewrite it, so that it looks different but displays the same concept and message. i.e making a new letterhead for the original image or changing the font or formatting.
