Background
We want to redesign the key visual assets used on our website before doing a full site redesign (moving to a mobile friendly Wordpress or similar site). The website redesign will be issued as a separate brief.

What we like about the current design elements
• Simple, fun visuals based in visual metaphors
• Distinctive, different, quirky
• Friendly and approachable
What’s wrong with the current design elements
• We have three different design elements in competition with each other. They are:
o The Conquest logos and colour palette
o The Metaphorix avatars (the cartoon figures on eg the right of the careers page http://www.conquestuk.com/careers.php )
o The six product offers illustrations (6 boxes on the home page)
• The design for the six product offers is very dated
The design brief (stage 1)
Overall, we want a visual approach that is:
• Simple
• Distinctive, different, quirky
• Friendly and approachable
• Uses Conquest current logos and colour palette
• Brings all elements of the design together
Specifically, we need the following visual assets redesigned:
• A complete redesign of the 6 product offer illustrations. These visuals must be:
o Distinctive, preferably using a visual metaphor and/or an illustration style that gives the home page great standout whilst also working within the Conquest colour palette and not clashing with the Metaphorix avatars.
• A refresh of the Metaphorix avatars to bring them in line with the Conquest colour palette and make the illustrations look less dated. They need to still be recognisable as the old avatars, as the originals will still be used on our research methodology
• Final artwork must be created ready to use on web/print
Preferences
• Strong preference for illustration over photographs (as we believe stock photos lack distinctiveness)
• We’d like a “curvy, flowing” feel to the overall site design.
Design brief (stage 2)
For your information, but not part of this initial brief, in stage 2 we will brief the redesign of the website. This will include a visual redesign based on the elements designed in stage 1 to develop all visual elements of the website, and a complete technical redesign.
Budget
