Description
Experience Level: Expert
We are looking for someone who can design and illustrate some maps for us.
Essentially we would nominate 10 countries and we would want a map for each country produced. The maps would have to clearly show major cities, city names, rivers, river names, name of country and neighbouring countries, surrounding sea names as well as major tourist destinations and attractions and other attributes common to maps. Boarders with other countries also need to be included and in some instances internal boundaries will also need to be included.
All maps should be produced in accordance with our colour scheme or a scheme that is relatively benign that would not clash with other colours on the page the map will be placed onto (feel free to develop your own style and colour scheme).
The maps should be delivered in jpeg format and allow one round of editing from our direction as well as another edit for ratio of width to height (thus making the map wider or taller depending on our needs, this may result in the need to include more detail of neighbouring countries or seas). Maps should be below 200KB in jpeg format. Upon completion all copyright of the images will be given to our company.
The maps will be placed on a page that is 18.66cm high by 18.2 cm wide, but within this are we will also be placing some text. I have attached a couple of examples to help explain. The maps attached give an example of what we have produced ourselves and are the level that we would like to improve upon, not match.
While this project is only for maps of 10 countries, we will eventually need maps for 110 countries. Given that we would like all maps in our database to have the same look and feel we would like to have the same person design them all in future jobs.
An example of your work will probably be the best way to apply for this job. A map of any country or even a ficticous one would be the best way for us to decide who we would like to employ for this job.
