Hello,
I am a puzzle games designer, and am currently creating a set of games from a fictional deceased character, who has left a series of items in his estate.
One is a series of pages from an unfinished children's book he was writing. The pages are in disarray, and although they have an illustration and one line on each, the puzzle (with other clues) is to work out the correct order.
For this, I would like to commission a series of ten 'sketch' style illustrations, very much in the brushed ink style of Charlie Mackesy. I have a very clear vision on this, but if you have an alternative style you think I would be swayed by, please do share! Bear in mind this is an old story, so it would have the impression of being hand drawn.
The character would be of a small girl, wearing a long french-style winter coat, holding a well-loved rabbit toy by its ears, which trails behind her. Here are the lines from the story:
She found the moon particle
lying on the floor
No one had ever seen
the dark side of the moon
The particle revealed to her
the parts people kept hidden
She told them to turn around
share their secrets with others
be open about the parts they hid
as the light brings us peace
The style, once again, is spare and sparse - evoke the scene in as few strokes as possible.
I've added a very rough sketch of my idea for the sample illustration - as you can see, I'm not artistic (why I'm asking!), but hopefully you get the idea! I also don't know what a moon particle would even look like - let your imagination run with this.
PLEASE NOTE: This particular bid is for one image - if we match in terms of vision, I will privately post the commission to you for all ten for the project.
