I’m looking for an experienced Adobe Illustrator artist to develop several variations of an existing gothic double-door vector for a cosmetics collaboration.
The core door construction and overall symmetry already exist. This is not a request to redesign the whole product from scratch. I need an illustrator who can work sensitively from the supplied editable artwork, preserve the established character, and explore a few stronger decorative directions.
The main routes are:
• Remove the existing wolves, which did not work for the client.
• Develop a lock-and-key version, with the lock and key integrated elegantly into the door rather than added as separate clip-art elements.
• Develop a more architectural cathedral-door version, replacing the loose swirls at the top with refined Gothic details such as pointed arches and restrained cathedral tracery.
• If appropriate, develop one combined refinement using the strongest elements of both routes.
The finish should feel dark, elegant, premium and authentically Gothic not cartoonish, Halloween-themed, overly ornate or AI-generated. The design must remain suitable for cosmetic packaging and reproduce clearly at the final printed size.
Please apply only if your portfolio shows strong examples of original vector illustration, ornamental linework, decorative architecture, metalwork, luxury packaging or similarly detailed symmetrical artwork.
Deliverables:
• Initial rough sketches or low-detail vector concepts for approval before detailed rendering
• 3 distinct design variations
• Up to 2 consolidated revision rounds on the selected route
• Clean, editable Adobe Illustrator master file with clearly named layers
• Print-ready outlined version plus SVG and PDF/EPS exports
• Balanced symmetry, smooth curves, sensible anchor-point count and no embedded raster artwork
• Exclusive commercial usage rights for the final selected design

Will the supplied Illustrator file retain the original editable paths/layers, or are any elements currently flattened/outlined?
Do you have the final cosmetic packaging print size and finish available, so the Gothic linework and decorative details can be designed to reproduce cleanly at the actual scale?
