Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
BRIEF:
I require 25 “what comes next” logic questions designed and drawn. An example of the style, difficulty and format of the questions is attached, but essentially the questions take the form of five monochrome designs in which a logical pattern exists and the respondent must pick what design comes next in the series.
The five example questions attached give the freelancer an accurate example of the output required.
To clarify, this project is to both design new questions and to draw them, not just illustrate some existing designs.
SPECIFICATIONS:
1. Each question will consist of one row of five graphics and one row of five multiple choice answer options. The graphics in the first row will follow a logical pattern, and the graphics in the second row of graphics will contain just one correct option, with the other four options being not obviously incorrect.
2. Each question must also come with a brief written solution which describes the rules dictating the logical pattern of or series.
3. The quality of graphics will be at least as clear, and display at least the equivalent level of attention to detail, as the example questions attached.
4. The image format of the graphics will be supplied by the freelancer to me in either Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop format.
5. The solution text describing the logic behind the correct answer will be supplied by the freelancer to me in MS Word format.
6. Suggested transformations and patterns the questions should follow are: rotation; reflection; fill-empty shading; number of sides in shapes; up-down; on-off; big-medium-small; number of elements to an item. Multiple colour changes are not an accepted pattern since the questions will be printed high resolution in monochrome. Other logical transformations are accepted but those listed here are preferred.
7. All work must be original.
DEADLINE:
Flexible; approximately 2nd June 2014.
Target audience: Adults
Ideas for the visual style: Monochrome symbol-style illustration
Preferred colors: Monochrome
