Project manager for design projects

About the role
We are looking for someone able to co-ordinate the overall design element across a range of projects for our portfolio of clients. The role involves managing and bringing together the work of the various designers involved in each project in order to deliver a quality product to deadline, ensuring consistency of style throughout.

Profile
We are looking for an individual who:
• Is very versatile and eager to learn new skills;
• Is tech-savvy with a basic grounding in various design-related software and tools & a willingness to build on this;
• Has an inclination for the minimalistic style of design favoured by us;
• Pays meticulous attention to detail;
• Has strong communication skills and the ability to manage a team;
• Will respect deadlines; and
• Is flexible and able to respond to urgent requests.

What will the main tasks be?
• Co-ordinating the work of different designers assigned to each project.
• Controlling the overall quality and consistency of style.
• The ability to make minor changes to design where necessary.
• Building a database of good designs, featuring innovative, relevant and/ or particularly outstanding examples

What is the time commitment required?
We envisage at this stage that the ideal candidate will be engaged on a freelance basis, working daily for around 2-3 hours.

Payment
The successful candidate will invoice for work carried out weekly.
