Freelance Graphic Designer needed for ongoing projects

At Flex Legal we are passionate about helping people make smarter life-work choices. We are working in the burgeoning field of legal tech and provide resourcing solutions to law firms and in-house counsel. We have a fantastic range of clients, all of whom are on board with our mission.

After rapid growth over the past 4 years, we are looking for a Graphic Designer to work with our team on a freelance, flexible basis. We anticipate needing resource for 2-3 days a month and are happy for you to work remotely.

This is a position for someone who is enthusiastic about design and looking to expand their portfolio. The role provides the opportunity to work with an amazing group of fun and talented people while having the flexibility to balance your freelance career.

As part of the hiring process we are looking for candidates to undertake a paid task so we can get a feel for your work. This will involve designing the following:

Flex Selfie

At Flex, we really try to pride ourselves on helping our paralegals grow and develop their skills. We appreciate the situation that many of them are in when using a service like ours. They’re often young, relatively new to the legal industry, and trying to build up some proper legal working experience and professional skills. If we can help their personal development whilst they’re away on working placements – then we should!

One of the ideas we had for doing this was the ‘Flex Selfie’. Essentially, this is a self-assessment sheet that we could ask our paralegals to fill out after they’ve been on placement for a while. The wording itself is fairly straightforward, and is just meant to prompt some self-reflection and consideration for what’s worked, what’s not worked, etc. We also really liked the idea of asking their line manager / supervisor to fill out a section too, so they can get an external perspective on their working strengths and weaknesses. We would like you to create a new version of the Flex Selfie, that affords our legal professionals and their supervisors the space they need to reflect on their performance and identify areas for improvement. Ideally, we need this to fit on no more than one side of A4.

Event Banner

The Sales and Marketing team regularly hold events for our paralegals, junior lawyers, and the wider legal community. The frequency of these has only gone up this year, and each month we will host 3 / 4 webinars which are usually fairly well attended.

When promoting these events on eventbrite and our social media channels, we usually rely heavily on freely-useable stock imagery. Unsplash can only go so far, and we’re looking to have something a little more bespoke in place of these.

Earlier this month, we held a ‘How to ace law firm assessment centres’ charity webinar to raise money for Lawcare. Our guest speakers included a couple of recruitment and development leaders at some reputable law firms, and a couple of legal influencers with good online followings. We would like you to design a Custom Eventbrite Banner for this event, in line with the Flex colours, bearing in mind that it would need to be easily adaptable for any future events we may hold.
