Description
Experience Level: Expert
Deadline 25 May
A graphic designer is required to create one graphic depicting a wind turbine at sea and next to it an exploded view of flanges and bolts.
Full description of project:
One graphic is produced. The graphics is a depiction of the location of flanges in exploded view, including bolts, in a windtubine. Both the wind turbine and the exploded view of the flanges and bolts are presented in one graphic.
The graphic is in two parts
------
First part - Wind turbine:
Rough sketch is supplied to the designer as powerpoint file “briefing for graphic” (see attachment)
Example of similar real drawings will be supplied as “examples of similar drawings (not attached here)
I will supply a wind turbine graphic in a vector file. The designer can use this basic drawing and will add rought shadows to the wind turbine to make it appear more "photo realistic". The designer will add background which is blue sky with clouds (an example graphic/photograph will be supplied).
One component on the wind turbine called the "transition piece" is coloured in bright yellow (exact location on graphic to be supplied).
The water level need to be added to the graphic and appears just below the transition piece (see briefing picture).
There are three flanges (see briefing) the location of which are shown. These flanges need to be sketched in as "skewed" ring and superimposed on wind turbine.
Below the transition piece (the yellow component), the monopile (name of the piece below the transition) is grey.
The water level is added. The area below the water level is coloured in a blue shade with light opacity (see similar drawing that will be supplied later).
The wind turbine is produced approaching photo-realistic like in the example of similar drawings. (we can discuss).
---
Second part - Exploded view of flange and bolt and nut
The flanges are presented apart with a gap between them. – see hand drawn sketch on powerpoint file. The part that needs to be seen is the area of these flanges before they have been bolted together. This is the reason why they must be apart. This is the important part.
The flange that can be used as a basis is shown in a file that will be supplied. This is a drawing but not vector.
The three lines from the "exploded view" go to the flange location in the wind turbine. Lines are black.
The bolts need to face the other way round than the hand drawn sketch (the longer part of the bolt is at the bottom).
A vector drawing of a bolt and nut is supplied. However, any other rendition also possible.
The flanges and bolts are given some shadow work so they look more real (see following photograph but the flanges are together see the bottom photograph):
