Easy Reads, Social Stories & Template Support (Care Sector)

I am looking for a freelancer to support the development of accessible resources for a healthcare organisation. NDA will be required.

This includes:

Easy read documents for service users
Social stories (e.g. moving into placement, meeting staff, feeling overwhelmed)
Structuring and formatting existing content into clear, consistent templates

All work will be based on templates and examples that I will provide.

Scope of Work

The role will include:
Creating easy read versions of key topics (e.g. safeguarding, medication, complaints)
Writing social stories in a clear, supportive, and person-centred tone
Taking existing plain text Word documents and restructuring them into clear, well-formatted templates
Ensuring consistency in layout, headings, and flow across all documents
Following existing templates and formatting

Style & Approach

The content must be:

Written in plain English
Clear, structured, and easy to understand
Suitable for individuals with additional needs (e.g. learning disabilities, mental health needs)
Non-clinical in tone, but accurate
Respectful, reassuring, and person-centred

Experience in healthcare, social care, or accessible writing is strongly preferred

There are 15 to start with - with more being commissioned once this project has been completed.
