Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Project: to provide further details in support of a Demolition and Construction Management Plan (DCMP). THE DCMP has been submitted to the local authority which requires further information. Due to illness, the report author will be unable to respond by the date requested (7th February 2020).
The Transportation Department have made the following comments regarding the DCMP:
The submitted DCMP lacks comprehensive information on the following items.
• a survey of the existing conditions of adjacent public highways
• an assessment of the cumulative impacts of demolition and construction traffic
• details of the likely volume of demolition and construction trips and any mitigation measures
• Site compound arrangements including arrival of vehicles, parking, loading, storage and waste arrangements
Further information is required on the highway demarcation which is likely to be affected by demolition and construction. Please submit plan showing site compound and its relationship to public highway.
Please submit a more comprehensive routing plan for associated vehicles for a wider road network -routes from Primary distributor roads to development site.
Please also submit detailed survey of the surrounding highway in the form of photographic evidence showing the status of the highway before and after to ascertain damaged to Public Highway in surrounding road network.
Please could this information be submitted to the Council no later than February 7th?
(Please note, if you are unable to visit the site, I would be able to provide the photographic evidence showing the status of the highway)

Michael,
Can you confirm the general location of the site (Council Authority ) and also the requirements for the 7th February 2020 submission date?
KenMichael G.04 Feb 2020Hello Ken. Thank you for your reply. The site is in the London Borough of Newham. The planner has requested that we reply by 7th Feb 2020 if possible, however, that only gave us 5 working days notice. I have said that we would do our best but may require a bit more time. The DCMP was submitted to Newham on 27th of Jan 2020 and the planner has to make a decision by 22nd March 2020
