Design work on family cookery book

Hello

I am producing a book of my deceased Nan's recipes for my Mother and other family members. I have all the text and images that I want to use ready in the template that my publishers will be using but what I need help with is:
- A consistent branding to be brought to the whole book
- Design work on the front cover
- Design work on the sections of the book (eg. savoury, desserts etc)
- General formatting and tidying up throughout

Attached is the file - using the template that my publishers have specificed. Please could you review and let me know if you would be able to assist? We can then discuss design ideas in further detail.
