Design and lay out a 2 PDFs of 5-7 pages each

Design details: I have some copy and images that I'd like to put into 2 A4 documents. One is likely to end up being around 5 pages long, and the other 7 pages. They will be used as digital downloads on my website. They won't use double spreads, they'll just be a line of 5 or 7 individual A4 sheets.

I'd like you to design a simple but highly attractive layout. Both documents can use variations on the same template – using the same columns and fonts for both documents is fine. Please use the print edition of Wired magazine as your inspiration – ie illustration-free versions of the following:

One document will describe 10 stores in 10 sections and will have 10 images. The other will have 6 sections and 6 images, with some bullets and subheadings in each section.



You will need to choose headline and paragraph fonts.

I'll supply you with the text, images, company logo and company details. I'd like you to cut and paste these into the final design.

Please supply your finished layout in an editable .indd file – this way we can modify the text a bit so it fits your layout. Please also use fonts that are free to download, pre-installed on a Mac or open access.


I'd like the workflow to include time to send me a sample page for each document, and for you to budget for time for some modifications at this stage.


When you respond, please tell me when you expect to send the sample pages and the final piece, assuming this project is awarded on Wed 5th Feb and I approve the sample pages within 2 days. Please also send a link to your portfolio.
