I need a designer in baby wear to launch a new brand.

I am looking for a versatile designer who is able to help you with all aspects of the design process from concept through to production. Someone experienced both in working for big name high street brands and small unique boutiques and ideally new start-up brands. Someone who is experienced in every process of the design process and manufacture. I realise this is a big project so I require a free Lancer that will work with me through to the end. I need help in BRANDING, CUSTOMER RESEARCH, MOODBOARDS, MARKET COMPETITOR RESEARCH, DESIGN RESEARCH etc. The free Lancer who works with me must be creative, who can develop new and unique garment shapes, or simple standard shapes working from the concept in my head/images/or creatively develop them to suit my requirements. Someone who will process the functionality of the garment, the fit and the aesthetics. I need someone who can assist with the following:

Moodboards
• Shape designs in cad sketches with style details
• All over print repeat designs, to scale and ready to send to the factory or a fabric printers.
• Yarn dyed stripe designs.
• Embellishment designs.
• Placement print graphic designs.
• Appliqué/embroidery designs.
• Knitwear designs
MANUFACTURING DESIGNS

As a start up client I require a freelancer with inside knowledge of the manufacturing process. Someone who can help me find the right factory. Help with fabric samples, quality samples, print samples, knit samples and communicate on my behalf with the factory, or advise and direct me in communicating directly with them.

I need help with putting together tech packs with style details, Pantone colour palette references, fabric details, print/pattern details, graphics details and garment construction details. Assistance with working
on size specs where necessary and someone who can communicate directly with the factory if needed to ensure the details sent over are clear to them and as required for pattern drafting/grading and sample manufacture.

Lastly, I require help with the sampling process

• Lap dip and strike off factory approvals. Someone with a sharp eye for colour and stringent philosophy for quality control.
• Check the quality and weight of sample fabrics submitted by factory.
• Check the fit of garments.
• Advise factory and myself on health and safety regulations required for childrenswear and babywear, check these requirements are followed during sampling processes.
• Wash Care labels and wash testing.

Will be looking to include in design, eco friendly, wrinkle resistant, hypo allergenic, prevention of skin irritation fabrics, quick dry etc.

This is a big project but I can assure you it will be a rewarding one. I am a start up client with a big vision and a humble attitude to learn. You may think it better to give a fixed price for this project based on the hours you believe this project will involve. This is something we can discuss to the right free lancer.
