Part-Time CAD Designer (Product & Accessories)

We are looking for a skilled CAD Designer to create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings for cosmetic accessories and beauty tools, ready for manufacturer production.

Working closely with our product development team, you will transform concepts and reference designs into accurate manufacturing drawings, ensuring every product meets both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD models for cosmetic accessories and beauty tools.
• Prepare manufacturing-ready files with dimensions, tolerances, materials and assembly details where required.
• Collaborate with the design team to refine concepts and solve technical challenges.
• Revise designs based on manufacturer feedback and prototype iterations.
• Ensure all drawings are organised, accurate and delivered within project deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing consumer products or accessories using Autodesk AutoCAD (or equivalent CAD software).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production drawings.
• Ability to create precise technical documentation suitable for factories.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• A portfolio demonstrating product design and technical CAD work.

Desirable

• Experience designing beauty products, cosmetic accessories, fashion accessories or small consumer goods.
• Experience preparing files for injection moulding, metal fabrication or similar manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of materials, finishes and production methods.

This is a flexible part-time freelance role with ongoing projects for the right candidate. We are looking for someone who can deliver high-quality technical drawings, communicate clearly, and work collaboratively throughout the product development process.
