Experience Level: Intermediate
We have a completed 3D model, with all components and materials specified that we require some basic thermal simulation carrying out. This will consist of:
1/ The temperature of the LED, with a known power dissipating from it.
2/ The temperature of another component on the PCB, with a known power dissipating from it.
We can share the model upon request. The 3D model consists of:
1/ Front half of enclosure
2/ Back half of the enclosure
3/ PCB sandwiched in the middle, with LED and other component placed on it.
The simulation should ideally indicate what is the temperature at various time frames, or the temperature at which they both stabilise.
A thermal image of the assembly after thermal stabilisation will be required.
