I want to build a tray for rolling tealeaves that will comply with food hygiene regulations.
Please find attached a picture of the tray we need, made from wood melamine and stainless steel rods. This works, but traps particles under the rods and in the corners.
I would like to build it from food grade polyethylene and think it could be done by CNC milling machine. But I need a CAD file for this
The second attachment is a slightly scruffy drawing but I hope it has all the information that you need!
It was drawn on A4 paper and if you were to print out at that, the bit that says ACTUAL SIZE would be to scale!!
The important dimensions are:
500mm wide by 600mm long
ribs to be 3mm high and 3mm wide rounded at the top (with no corners to trap dirt) - I have shown these with a 40mm gap at either end which I think would be an improvement on the wooden board in the picture
12 ribs with space between ribs to be approximately 40mm. (Any ‘extra' space can be used to make the front and back spaces longer)
All round the rolling surface needs to be an upstanding edge of 25mm, to retain the leaf
At the front is a 30mm downward ‘lip’ to engage with the side of the table. NB This could be added/screwed on afterwards to reduce waste
I think it should be quite simple so if you are able to help with this please give me an indication of the number of hours work you think you will need.
