Description
Experience Level: Expert
Design details: I have 6 drawings which I need converting to CAD so that the parts can be laser cut. They are all two-dimensional and nothing complicated. Five of them are A4 size and one is A3 although because I don’t have an A3 scanner I have had to scan it in 2 parts.
Some of the drawings have actually been made by drawing round the actual part which mates with it and therefore the dimensions are incomplete although scaling them from the sketch will be sufficient. The only dimensions which are anything like remotely critical are the ones which are annotated.
The 1 x A3 Drawing which is in 2 parts is extremely odd and the majority of the dimensions will have to be scaled. The party is going to have to be manipulated to fit in any event so as long as we have dimensions that the laser cutter man can use, it will be fine. I don’t know what format these laser machines use but whatever it is, that’s what it needs to be in.
Obviously, I don’t have CAD myself so I will need a PDF or something of each also, so that I can check and amend et cetera.
They are for a project I am on, fitting a diesel engine into a motorcycle. Ask and I will email the sketches to you.
Please dont just say, "I can do this". A little more info is useful please.
It would be good if you have done drawings for laser cutting before so that you know what they want.
I have attached three of the actual and typical drawings. (PPH will not let me attach more)
Thanks for considering this.
Ideas for the visual style: CAD suitable for laser cutting
Things to avoid: Walking under ladders
Extra notes:
