Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We are looking to get a 3D model currently in Parasolid format back into National Grid co-ordinates. The modelling work was done from point cloud data that was georeferenced. Effectively we need to overlay our CAD model onto the geo-referenced point cloud model and export as a DWG.
We have the coordinates and a transformation matrix to move the CAD model back into National Grid Co-ordinates. We just need to apply the transformations and export the CAD model in DWG format. I understand Microstation can import both Parasolid CAD and point cloud data and export as DWG. But if it can be done in AutoCAD that's great. We can provide the CAD model in SAT format if Parasolid format (*.X_B) is a problem. The point cloud is in PTS format.
We would provide a URL to our web portal to download all the files necessary. We need this job turned around today ideally, tomorrow at the latest. Potentially this could lead to regular assignments.
