Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I need basic wine racking added to the wine cellars of the attached PDF - I will have the CAD file follow plans and sections for you to use. I also need a cross section of each of the racking types.
The racking should be built out of Pine and marine grade plywood or external grade / weather proof MDF - which ever is more cost efficient.
The Humidity of the cellar will range between 55-65% - there should be no need to treat the pine uprights, ply or MDF
The Racks should have 100mm clearance from the floor,
Standard Bordeaux Racks (500 Deep)
Shelf space should be a minimum of 230mm high - this will allow standard Bordeaux boxes and 2 x 6pack (flat pack) boxes to be packed on top of each other
Width of each Bordeaux case is between 330 - 340mm
We were thinking of having 3 cases between each support post but would refer to you for the structural integrity of the spacing for the support posts
Large Bordeaux Racks (330 Deep)
Shelf space should be a minimum of 240mm high
Width of each Bordeaux case is 500-550
3 cases wide between support posts
Side on Bordeaux Racks (550 Deep)
Shelf space should be a minimum of 240mm high
Width of each Bordeaux case is 340mm
2 cases wide between support posts
Magnum & Outsized Racks (600 Deep)
Shelf space should be a minimum of 250mm high
Width of each case is 360mm
3 cases wide between support posts
Krug & 1st Growth Bordeaux Racks (400 Deep x 250 wide 300 high)
Shelf space should be a minimum of 250mm high
Width of each case is 360mm
3 cases wide between support posts
