Description
Experience Level: Entry
Hi,
I currently run a temporary works consultancy based in London for design and analysis of scaffold, hoists and mast climbing work platforms. Due to ongoing work and generating new clients, I am looking to build a working relationship with a freelance 2D/3D CAD Technician who can assist with the workload when the need arises. All work must be completed in AutoCAD or BricsCAD as you would be working from template files provided.
The basic requirements of the role would be:
- Access to your own computer and software for working.
- Knowledge of CAD software i.e AutoCAD, BricsCAD, for production of 2D layouts and 3D models.
- Keen to learn and self-motivate. I will provide ongoing training for any candidate who is willing to put the time into learning the various elements of the works. The more skillful you become the more work I can provide.
- Managing of own time and remote working. All work will be issued for a quote and turnaround time prior to proceeding.
- Strong communication skills, as we will be working remotely and design changes will arise. This will also mean a fluent English speaker due to my limited language skills. Use of Slack would be a great bonus to allow easy communication through dedicated channel.
Any candidate who has the basic requirements and is willing to learn will receive ongoing training during the work. Majority of the work would be producing 2D layouts or 3D models based on hand sketches or markups, using DWG components I will provide to you prior to the project. If you are just working in 2D CAD that is fine, I will still have plenty of layouts needed.
Hopefully this helps get a feel for what the role entails, but I am happy to discuss further with anyone who thinks they could fit the description. I will have more and more work becoming available as my client list grows, so I am very much hoping to build an ongoing work relationship with a capable freelancer. Hourly rate is shown as is for advert creation, happy to accept all proposals for relevant freelancers with reasonable rates.
Thanks very much,
Rory
