I'm looking to study airflow around a UAV while it is turned on inside a chamber. I am inexperienced with SolidWorks and ANSYS Fluent, so I am hoping that you can help me save some modeling time.
What I need:
1. The UAV encased in a chamber with the dimensions shown in the picture "1 - Boundary" (all dimensions in meters). It is a simple cylinder with a cone on top. In ANSYS, please place the center of the chamber base/ground at the origin (0,0,0).
2. The UAV must be centered in the chamber. The the bottom of the propeller motor (image "2 - bottom of motor") must be 4.6 m above the ground.
3. Rotating regions must be created around all 6 propellers. These can extend just beyond the propeller tip and just above/below the propeller parts. This step can be done in SolidWorks or ANSYS, your preference.
4. Repair the model in ANSYS and make all of the bodies become solid bodies. Image "3 - SpaceClaim" shows the file I was working with in SpaceClaim. The file won't immediately make the bodies into surface bodies. I have tried to reduce the errors using SpaceClaim's Repair functions, but some errors cannot automatically be repaired, so it may require some manual edits.
Once the model is set up, I can create the mesh conditions and run the actual simulations. I just need help setting up the model part of it. After completion, I would like you to send me all of your files associated with the project.
