Description
Experience Level: Entry
Hi,
I currently run a temporary works consultancy based in London for design and analysis of scaffold, hoists and mast climbing work platforms. Due to ongoing work and generating new clients, I am looking to build a working relationship with a freelance/contracting engineer or draughtsman who can assist with the workload when the need arises.
The basic requirements of the role would be:
- Access to your own computer and software for working.
- Knowledge of 3D cad software i.e AutoCAD, BricsCAD, etc. for production of drawings.
- Knowledge of basic engineering principals for structural analysis. (Higher hourly rate negotiable)
- Managing of own time and remote working. All work will be issued for a quote and turnaround time prior to proceeding.
- Strong communication skills, as we will be working remotely and design changes will arise. This will also mean a fluent English speaker due to my limited language skills.
Obviously any candidate with proved experience in an engineering discipline, especially temporary works, would be ideal. However, any candidate who has the basic requirements and is willing to learn will receive ongoing training during the work. This is quite a basic job description at the moment however I have attached a sample hand sketch and the resulting drawing (with further details that I can't attach here) to give a better idea of the design style and level required.
Hopefully this helps get a feel for what the role entails, but I am happy to discuss further with anyone who thinks they could fit the description. Sample portfolio work of previous projects would be great. I will have more and more work becoming available as my client list grows, so I am very much hoping to build an ongoing work relationship with a capable freelancer. Hourly rate is shown as is for advert creation, happy to accept all proposals for relevant freelances and reasonable rates.
Thanks very much,
Rory
