PCB reference ruler artwork, two designs, gerbers required

We are a UK electronics manufacturing group. We need artwork for two PCB reference rulers to give to customers and use on our own benches. This is urgent and we are ready to start immediately.

The DigiKey PCB ruler is our benchmark. We like the pad and hole content on it, the SMT footprints, the wire gauge holes, the mounting hole gauges, the thru hole examples and the trace width references. We want something with the same usefulness but drawn as an original layout, not a copy of theirs. Please do not trace or reuse DigiKey artwork.

What we need

Board 1: 300mm long, roughly 30mm wide, double sided. Top face branded Connect 2 Technology in a blue theme. Bottom face branded Cleveland Circuits in a green theme. Both faces carry ruler content, so both need to stand alone as a usable reference.

Board 2: 150mm long, same style and content scaled down, branded Weyfringe.

Colour is carried in the silkscreen legend, which we can run differently on each side. Assume a single solder mask colour across the whole board and design so both faces read cleanly against it. We will confirm mask and legend colours before you finalise.

Content across the two faces

Metric and imperial scales along the edges
Common SMT footprints, chip passives through to SOIC, TSSOP, SOT23, QFN, DPAK and similar
Drilled hole gauge for AWG wire with sizes marked
Metric and imperial mounting hole gauges
Thru hole examples from 0.4mm to 2mm
Trace width examples with a current carrying and temperature rise chart
Pitch examples and silkscreen font height references
Test point examples

we are open to suggestions use the Digikey ruler as a base

Split the content sensibly between the two faces so neither is crowded. Imperial references on one face and metric on the other works for us if you think that reads better.

Deliverables

Editable source files, KiCad or Altium
Gerber RS274X and NC drill, or ODB++
PDF proof of both faces of both boards


Build constraints

Two layer, 1.6mm FR4, 1oz copper, ENIG finish
Separate top and bottom legend artwork, kept independent so we can print them in different colours
Minimum track and gap 0.15mm, minimum drill 0.3mm
Scale graduations must be dimensioned from a copper datum rather than the routed board edge so routing tolerance does not throw the scale out

Other points

We manufacture the boards ourselves so we do not need fabrication, only the design and manufacturing data
We supply all logos as vector artwork
Work must be original or built on an open source base we can use commercially. Tell us which base you intend to use if any
Full ownership of the source files transfers to us on payment
