Description
Experience Level: Expert
I am making a table which has an irregular shaped glass top. The top will be cut from a CAD file so the file I give the glass cutters needs to be perfect.
The maximum dimensions of the top are 2450mm x 1600mm.
I have designed the top using Fusion 360 and subsequently imported into DraftSight (as I needed to print it across several sheets of A0 paper to make a template) so I currently have it as a DWG file.
The shape was created by me. I sketched it by hand and then traced it in Fusion 360. I'm no expert in CAD so I may have drawn the shape poorly or with too many/few points for splines.
I guess I'm looking for someone who's good with splines really.
I'd like someone to do the following tasks:
1. Make some small tweaks to the shape so that it flows a little better. Specifically the flatter side of the shape doesn't flow as well as the rest so it's that part that needs tweaking.
2. To just sanity check that the shape is smooth enough to be made into a large table top (and indeed check for any issues I may not be aware of).
3. Provide the final file as a DWG to be used by the glass company (I'm waiting for confirmation that a DWG is what they want so this could change).
I'm assuming this is a very quick job (but please tell me if I'm mistaken).
Cheers, Rob
