Experience Level: Expert
Keen cyclist looking for a like minded engineer who has design skills and can use a CAD to make a design that I can bring to a manufacturer.

What I will need is a detailed drawing backed up by animation to take to the manufacturer.
For now can you send me a detailed mock animation as an example of what you can do. When I say detailed, at this stage I mean just where the folding and fulcrum points will be. The animation will have to show the bike being folded and unfolded with the ability to have the play back speed slowed down.
Also you will need to have an understanding of engineering and metal principles, so that design will allow for flex, and weight distribution and will work in practice not just in theory. I believe it is called FEA.
Prefer to be UK based, but not essential. Must be Europe based so i can meet up if needed.

    HI Arthur,
    could you tell me if this is a bespoke bike for yourself or if you plan to go into production? if so, you will need a range of sizes. Further, you don't say what type of bike? MTB, Road, commuter, small wheel (like Brompton), hard tail, full sus, etc. as all these options will decide on the geometry as will the material your frame is made from for example steel, titanium, aluminium or carbon fibre.
    I am assuming that it is only the frame you require designing and that you will be using a stock groupset etc.
    This will also have some effect on the design.
    If you could come back to me with some answers I'd be happy to quote you to design a frame set that will be fir for purpose.
