Design details: I am looking for someone who can draw a CCTV camera housing based on an existing concept.
This project will involve firstly drawing out the initial concept so as we can visualise it.
After everything is agreed, we will need it converting into a file / drawing that we can take to a machine shop to have made / drawings suitable for a laser cutting company.
I have attached an image to show an overview of what you are drawing.
The component is split into a couple of parts:
- an aluminium tube, which has a width of 200mm and a height of 300mm. The tube has a square hole of 100mm x 60mm machined into it 30mm from the top. Over this hole a 'box' is welded on, dimensions, 100 x 60 x 50 (deep).
The aluminium tube has a row of holes sunk into the rim, which the top and bottom piece attach to.
- a bottom disk. This is an aluminium plate that is 200mm in diameter, and has a hole 170mm cut into it (where we bond an acrylic dome).
The disk also has a row of holes, that match with the holes in the tube. These holes are countersunk.
The disk needs to have a fillet machined into it, so it sits slightly inside the tube to line it up.
- A top disk. This is similar to the bottom disk, but does not have the hole. The top piece has a circle with an aligning 'tab' milled out of it, which is used to attach another 'module' on top (a battery module).
Inside we will require a series of 'discs' designing, which will be stacked together with spacer rods, to hold various printed circuit boards. This assembly will then attach to the 'lid' of the housing.
I am looking for someone we can work with on an ongoing basis as the project develops.
I am happy to work per hour, but would need an indication up front as to how long you think it will take until we get to know each other's working methods.
