I have a book in word, needs to be prepared for publication

I am contacting you on behalf of my father, who has written a scientific book over 30 pages on word. It contains approximately 30 illustrations. He is trying to edit it, but being word, the illustrations start bouncing around when any text is moved.

It is a scientific document about geology and so anyone with experience and contacts in this field will be very helpful.

It needs to be prepared for publishing and ISBN association. So someone who can take us to the finish line on this!
