Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Design details: I have a children's book in Word that I would like illustrating and turning into an e-book suitable for publishing on Amazon (suitable for Kindle).
It is 20 pages long in Word and will be 20 pages when designed (there are only one or two sentences per page).
Target audience: Children aged 1-5 and their parents/carers
Number of pages needed: 20
Ideas for the visual style: It should be colourful, bold and bright rather than pastel and insipid. The book is likely to appeal more to girls, although I do not want it to look exclusively like a girls' book. The two main characters - a horse and a unicorn - should be appealing, full of personality, and a little whimsical. The font should be clear and fairly large, as there are only a few sentences per page.
Things to avoid: I don't want the characters to look like any existing horse or unicorn characters, or be derivative in any way. They need to be fresh and new looking, rather than being reminiscent of any other characters.
Preferred colors: Bright, clear, cheerful colours, nothing too dark or muddy
Where the design will be used: In an e-book (kindle book)
Extra notes: I am happy to answer any questions you might have on the project or my preferences for the design.
Any examples of your previous work would be welcomed.
Thank you for your bids.
